What is your first priority? Everything?
How often do you find yourself trying to deal with a few issues or tasks at the same time? And how did it go? I guess not that well. You are not alone.

You don’t’ need me to remind you how ineffective and exhausting it is, you know it all too well. Is there a way out of this crazy circle? Yes, it is!
You really need to embrace the idea that everything on your agenda cannot be first priority. Sounds obvious? But try to take a pen and assign the number to each item. How many number one did you get? The rule is: it can be only single number 1 on your agenda at every giving moment. Don’t be discouraged, it takes practice.
How exactly to make a decision what is the number one? The simplest way to do so is to go down to basics. What is your company or department current focus: sales increase, customer serves improvement, employee engagement and cultural changes. Your priorities should be aligning with these focus points in order to get understanding and support from your Senior Leaders and help from your employees.
Only when your current highest priority task has been completed, you can assign number one to the next task. Remember the rule: it can be only single number 1 on your agenda at every giving moment.
Try to follow these steps for 1 week. It won’t be easy, but it worth it.
